KAKIN NICHOLS - DESIGN PRINCIPAL

Kakin Todd Nichols’ career in interior design began long before earning her degree from Louisiana State University. At a young age, she showed an innate awareness of spatial planning with considerations to function as well as aesthetic. What began as a passion to create to-scale drawings featuring different floor plans of her childhood bedroom was then shaped by her education and experiences working for top design firms on commercial and residential projects.

Residential design soon became her preference because of the opportunity to work directly with the individuals who would eventually enjoy the spaces. Kakin began her career working alongside designer Julie Fuller, where she honed her skills for developing a client’s vision and curating a signature style. Kakin then brought the experiences of her past to work in a turn-key design/build atmosphere. Charged with taking clients through the entire building process, Kakin worked with clients from consultation, through design, bidding, and overseeing project construction until completion.

When she isn’t consumed with constructing the ideal space, Kakin enjoys spending time with her twin boys Grayson and Hayes and daughter Aubrey, taking walks with her pup, Maple, exploring the markets and boutiques of Austin, wine tasting with her husband, Bryan, and traveling for work and leisure.

HALEY RAYMOND - DESIGNer

Haley graduated with a B.A. in Interior Design and minors in Architecture and Business Administration from Texas Tech University. Her passion for residential design formed at a young age when she accompanied her family on real estate tours during their search for a new home. Those experiences opened her eyes to both a range of architectural styles and the importance of functionality related to the way occupants inhabit spaces. It was then that she decided to pursue the study of interior design to create functional spaces for others to both live and build memories.

After obtaining her design degree, Haley moved to Austin, Texas, where she has continued to build her skillset working at two esteemed firms before landing at Curated Studio in 2022. With a strong initiative, a distinct eye for details, and meticulous organizational and problem-solving skills, Haley quickly rose from an entry-level design position to a project management role in only 5 years. Her technical abilities and creative expertise continue to lead projects to success.

After hours, Haley resets through outside activities like paddleboarding and hiking with her golden doodle. She also is an avid reader, foodie, and yogi.
